A New Week Means New Goals

Updated: Nov 8, 2021

This week the Engineering class at the GRCTC are getting back to work after a long break in October to help create festivities happening at the campus for Halloween.

It's a Halloween event held at the GRCTC on 10/29/21
Spookfest At The GRCTC

But now that the event has passed, the FRBC project is back on the table and with new goals in mind by the team. And I was able to ask around what the specific members are working on. On November 1st, I asked the medical team what they are going to focus on for the FRBC project. One of the members Faris said he would be doing a full scale boot swab, Anthony will be creating longer light exposure and Jesus will be figuring out the possibility of making a bigger FRBC box.

Next I asked the Coding team was working on getting a new camera to record the FRBC box inside. They first got the "Pixy Camera" but realized the quality was bad, so now they are looking for a new camera to be replace. After some "Arducam Mini Module Camera Shield".

I went over to the Electrical team to see what they are doing, and they said that they need to work on troubleshooting the size of new parts and how to insert it into the box. They need to do this carefully without destroying the box and the parts within it. Sustainability Team are focused on buying aluminum parts and creating a technical document. The tech document compiles all the info from different groups slideshows and put into a one word document.

So as you can see everyone has their hands full for the next few weeks so expect more updates going forward!
